This year, B4B challenge will focus more on how the value chain of Real Estate, ranging from building material, energy management, design & planning, construction & demolishment, facility management, can become more sustainable through the empowerment of technology.
One may relate the real estate businesses mostly to buildings and bricks, but in fact, the property sector is closely related to a wide range of other sectors including many of our daily activities from a workplace, to a retail shopping outlet, a transportation station, and of course our homes.
Given its all-encompassing nature, there is plenty of room for innovation in this space. From tech startups that offer predictive inspection system to smart home IoT and geospatial analytics to others that use AI for construction site safety, advancements in real estate seem to hover just inches from realization.

What you can expect:

Your solution will be evaluated by industry experts & advices will be given.

30 finalists from Mainland China, HK & SEA will share & compete for the "15 Best Solutions“

All 15 teams will be invited to Shanghai, subject to COVID-19 quarantine, to talk directly with Carbon Exchange, Carbon Experts and Real Estate players.

Coaches from our collaborators will help polish your project from tech, commercial & financial aspects.

Your solution will be introduced to municipal governments, including but not limited to Fuzhou, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong, which would be your anchor user.

Your project will be listed as recommended "Carbon Solver" in the first “Carbon Tech Landscape for Real Estate in China” and are required to present on stage in the Carbon Technology Forum held in May 2022. Your distinguished project will be circulated amongst State Owned Enterprises and real estate companies.

Selection of finalist teams and champion teams for each stream will be based on the following assessment criteria:
